Jura 31 year Old / Tri Carragh
Description
70cl Bottle
47.8% ABV (Cask Strength)
1 of 62 Bottles from a Refill Bourbon Barrel
Distilled: 17/04/1992
DWB Note (from Will): This is the best, and most interesting Jura, I have tried so far.
Producer's Notes
Appearance: A shiny pound coin
Aroma: Very fruit nose; tinned pineapples, melons, lemons, apples and pears followed by oral notes - potpourri and fresh garden roses. A drop of water entices the addition of Parma Violet sweets.
Taste: The taste mirrors what was encountered on the nose with the addition of cinnamon and cloves. An intriguing earthy note adds to the complexity. With water the fruity notes become more dominant.
Comment: A real gem and a shining example of how a well aged single cask can dier so much from that distilleries typical style or release.
