Producer's notes: Casado (Portugese for marriage) was matured in fresh bourbon barrels for 6 years before 38 casks were selected and married together for 2 years in two 6000 litre Portugese red wine vats. The two years spent in red wine vats has added layers of rich red fruit and mixed spices, balancing beautifully with the maritime peat smoke and citrus character unique to Kilchoman.

Nose: Ripe summer fruits and a touch of marzipan with layers of maritime notes.

Palate: Pepper and spicy with a fresh fruit and salty peat smoke.

Finish: Waves of hot spicy character with cooked fruits and lasting sweetness.
