Producer's Notes:

Nose: Unripe cranberries, autumn leaves, creme de cassis, cinnamon, nutmeg, sultanas and raspberry cordial.

Palate: Dry spice with berry compote, clove studded oranges, grapefruit juice and crushed spearmint.

Finish: Dry and certainly tannic- some lingonberry jam, cloves and cinnamon

Comments: Although we are note the biggest fans of red wine aged whisky, this style works well. Full term maturation tends to soften the tannins and bring more balance through oxidative ageing.
